Department of Information Technology

The Information Technology Department is one of the departments of the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at Shabwa University, the first university department in this discipline for students in Shabwa governorate. The department was created in 2021-2022 as the Information Technology Department. The department is staffed by a selection of specialized faculty members, who provide the best IT education for students. They also contribute to the promotion of the research working environment which includes the areas of security, artificial intelligence, data science, communications, networking and the Internet, software engineering and knowledge. With the changes in the field of computing and its integration with different fields, IT specialization has become a vital, active and stand-alone field in any research or academic sector. Global bodies such as ACM and IEEE are recognized and stand-alone specializations within the academic disciplines of computing. The Department offers a Bakalrios program in information technology which comes to achieve one of the Department's strategic objectives and is to contribute to the development of knowledge that serves the goals and vision of the State of Digital Transformation.
